A $600 million expansion and modernization
project at the Louisville International Airport relied on
the strength and dependability of precast reinforced
concrete pipe as a critical component of the new facility.
A two hundred foot long "S" curve box culvert tunnel was constructed with 8-foot x 8-foot x 6-foot precast reinforced concrete box sections in an effort to preserve land used for hunting.
Independent Concrete Pipe Corp. (ICPC), a manufacturer of pipe and other precast structures, has developed an innovative bolted joint system for watertight conduit lines.
